Intensive music production with Ecilo (3 week course)
Due to requests from our community, we've launched an intensive 3-week edition of Music Production with Ecilo, with two lessons per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
About the Programme
Learn the fundamentals of music production while developing your own creative process in this intensive three-week programme.
Together with Ecilo, you'll explore techniques, experiment with new ideas and build confidence in your own workflow. With two sessions per week, you'll be able to immediately put what you learn into practice and continue developing your music throughout the programme.
Every session combines technical knowledge with hands-on exercises, personal guidance and practical feedback from Ecilo. You'll work on your own music, ask questions, experiment and develop a workflow that works for you.
Whether you're taking your first steps into music production or looking to strengthen your foundation, this programme offers a focused and supportive environment to learn, create and grow alongside a small group of fellow producers.
What you'll explore
Throughout the three weeks, you'll build a solid foundation in music production. Each session introduces new concepts while giving you the opportunity to apply them directly to your own projects.
Together you'll explore topics such as:
-
Ableton Live workflow & project organisation
-
Song structure & arrangement
-
Sampling & sound selection
-
Sound design & synthesis
-
Recording & editing
-
Mixing fundamentals
-
Creative effects & processing
-
Developing your own workflow
-
Finishing and preparing tracks for release
By the end of the programme, you'll have developed a stronger understanding of Ableton Live, greater confidence in your own workflow and the tools to continue developing your music independently.
Meet the Teacher
Ecilo is an Indonesian electronic music producer, live performer and educator based in Jakarta. Since beginning his journey in electronic music in 2008, he has developed a distinctive artistic voice shaped by techno, house, jazz, soul and cinematic sound design. His work is driven by curiosity, experimentation and a constant desire to push creative boundaries.
Over the years, Ecilo has released music on internationally respected labels including AXIS Records, ARTS, Planet Rhythm, Olympian and We Are The Brave. His debut album UnCovert was released on Jeff Mills' label AXIS, while his productions have received support from artists including Ben Sims, Alan Fitzpatrick and Dave Clarke.
Alongside his work in the studio, he has performed throughout Asia and Europe, appearing at clubs, festivals and educational programmes while continuing to mentor aspiring producers in Indonesia. His approach combines technical knowledge with creative exploration, encouraging participants to understand not only how things work, but why they work.
While Ecilo's home base is Jakarta, his work regularly takes him across Asia and Europe. This intensive programme offers a unique opportunity to learn directly from him during his time in Amsterdam, gaining insight into the creative process, techniques and mindset behind his work in a way that isn't possible through a single workshop or masterclass.
