Anke Straten (1997) brings more than a decade of hands-on experience in the Dutch event industry. She graduated from HKU, Art & Economics, specializing in Event and Music Management, where her design-oriented research on professionalization emphasized that structured education is essential for building sustainable careers. As a tangible result, she created the Stage Manager Training, while envisioning that similar curricula could support other roles across the sector in the future.
Her career covers a broad spectrum of positions (from club manager, stage manager and logistics manager to producer, programmer, and artist agent) alongside countless on-site jobs. This versatility has given her a sharp eye for both the richness and the chaos of live events. With this background, Anke has made it her mission to guide others in finding their professional place in the industry and to contribute to an autonomous, authentic, and well-educated workforce for the future of nightlife and festivals.
Through our educational program, community space, and hands-on experience via temporary freelance jobs, we explore the event landscape together. Our focus is on the core: flawless execution and we prepare you thoroughly. Always with care.
